市井烟火之下，一间旧酒坊封存着华南抗战的滚烫过往。作为国共合作背景下的秘密红色枢纽，万祥醩坊化身八路军桂林办事处，在暗流涌动的时局中，撑起统战、转运、救亡的重重使命。本次实践，我们踏访这片红色旧址，于文物与旧居之间，重温烽火岁月里不为人知的峥嵘故事。
Amid downtown daily life, an old wine shop preserves the fiery memory of South-China resistance against Japanese aggression. Under the Second United Front, Wanxiang Zaofang served as the secret red hub of the Eighth Route Army Guilin Office, undertaking missions of united-front work, material transit and national salvation. During our practice, we visited the site to revisit the stirring wartime stories behind relics and restored quarters.
一、场馆概览
Venue Overview
坐落于桂林叠彩区中山北路，八路军桂林办事处纪念馆依托万祥醩坊旧址修建。这座桂北砖木院落，从前店后宅的酿酒作坊，蜕变为全国重点文保单位与爱国主义教育基地。场馆包含市区主馆与路莫村物资转运分址，馆藏千余件抗战实物，静静镌刻着八办的革命岁月。
Located on North Zhongshan Road, Diecai District, the memorial hall is built upon Wanxiang Zaofang. This traditional Guangxi brick-timber courtyard, once a wine-brewing workshop, is now a national-level cultural relic and patriotism-education base. It consists of the downtown main site and Luomo Village sub-site, housing thousands of wartime relics that record revolutionary history.
二、历史回望
Glimpses of Wartime Guilin
1938 年，武汉、广州沦陷，抗战步入相持阶段。桂林凭借地缘优势，成为西南大后方的文化与交通重镇。在复杂险恶的国统区环境中，八路军桂林办事处在 11 月正式成立，李克农出任处长。短短两年多时间，这里成为华南革命的联络支点；1941 年受反共逆流影响机构被迫撤离，后又在战火中遭到损毁。
After the fall of Wuhan and Guangzhou in 1938, the war entered its stalemate phase. Geographically well-positioned, Guilin grew into a key cultural and transport hub of the southwest rear area. Founded in November 1938 and headed by Li Kenong, the office functioned as South China’s revolutionary liaison hub for over two years. It was forced to evacuate in 1941 and later damaged by warfare.
三、八路军桂林办事处的诞生

广州、武汉失守后，抗战形势紧迫，革命工作人员多方物色安全据点，最终选定万祥醩坊作为办事处驻地。先辈们巧借这座酿酒作坊的市井身份，以此为掩护，同步开展公开公务与地下机要活动。
After the fall of Guangzhou and Wuhan amid urgent wartime conditions, revolutionaries searched for secure premises and finally settled on Wanxiang Zaofang (Wanxiang Brewery). They took advantage of the brewery’s public urban status as cover to conduct both official business and confidential underground operations.
新中国成立后，旧址历经抢救修缮，1977 年纪念馆正式对外开放。 场馆分为两大片区：市区旧址复原区还原电台室、办公室与旧时居所；主题展厅陈列电报、旧物，再现救亡历程；郊外的路莫村转运站，则见证当年物资中转、人员护送的艰苦过往。
After the founding of the People’s Republic of China, the former site went through salvage-and-restoration and the memorial hall opened to the public in 1977. The downtown zone features reconstructed rooms including the radio room, offices and living quarters, alongside thematic exhibitions of telegrams and relics about national salvation. The suburban Luomo Village transfer station bears witness to the arduous wartime material transit and personnel-escort missions.
四、历史价值
Historical Significance
战时，这里一身多任：凝聚各界爱国力量筑牢统一战线，打通秘密通道输送军需物资，护送进步青年奔赴根据地，以文化呐喊唤醒民众，助力桂林崛起为抗战文化城，是白色恐怖下华南抗战的生命纽带。如今，旧址褪去硝烟，化作鲜活的研学课堂。它串联起桂林多处抗战遗址，以文物诉说过往，面向青少年传递忠诚奉献的红色精神，守护一座城市的抗战集体记忆。
In wartime, this site performed multiple vital roles: consolidating the united front, transporting military supplies, dispatching progressive youths and inspiring the public through cultural campaigns. It became a vital lifeline for South-China resistance. Today, free from gunfire, it serves as a vivid study-tour venue. Linked with other Guilin war relics, it passes down red spirits and preserves the city’s collective memory of national salvation.
五、实践感悟
Reflection on Field Visit
走出课本，置身这处藏于市井的红色堡垒，我们真切感受到隐蔽战线的步步危机。没有轰轰烈烈的正面冲锋，先辈们凭借信仰与智慧，在方寸院落中完成一件件艰巨使命。岁月山河来之不易。此次寻访是一场精神洗礼。作为新时代青年，我们当铭记这段隐秘的历史，传承红色风骨，以青春担当回应时代期许。
Stepping beyond textbooks and onto this red site hidden in downtown streets, we truly sense the perils of the hidden front. Without grand battlefield charges, predecessors accomplished arduous missions with faith and wisdom. Peace is hard-won. This visit gives us profound spiritual inspiration. As young generations, we shall remember this hidden chapter of history, inherit red virtues and live up to the expectations of our times.
